Road Skills Test and Study Guide
Road Worthy Vehicle
The exam may be terminated if any of the following discretionary safety equipment is missing or inoperative.

Headlights and Taillights
-
Doors (should open from the inside and outside)
-
Windshield (examiner may refuse to test if a crack obstructs vision and/or makes vehicle unsafe)

Windshield wipers/washers
-
Heater/defroster
-
Fuel level
All tests will be terminated if any of the following mandatory safety equipment is missing or inoperative.

Left and right outside mirrors
-
Horn
-
Tires (proper inflation, no cords showing, no more then one lug nut missing)

All turn signals
-
All brake lights ( including a center-mounted rear brake light on 1986 or newer models)
-
Seats/Safety belts
-
Brakes
-
Speedometer
Bring The Following
Adults (18yrs & over) must Bring:

Temporary Instruction Permit or a MDOS Receipt.

All Practice periods must have been met (or waived by the S.O.S.)
-
A vehicle that is road worthy and that can pass a vehicle inspection.

Registration & Proof of Insurance (Look at them and be sure they are up to date.)
Teenagers (under 18 years of age) must Bring:

Graduated Level 1 Learners License. (Original Document Only)

Segment 2 Certificate. (Original Document Only)

Driving log must show a minimum 50 hrs of driving,10 hrs of the 50 must have occurred at night.

A vehicle that is road worthy and that can pass a vehicle inspection.

Registration & Proof of Insurance (Look at them and be sure they are up to date.)
